An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
