Amazing $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, though users may also choose their donation amount in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu immediately below, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
